MTTC Sketch Challenge

Hey, all! :)
My DT project for My Time to Craft Challenge Blog Challenge #326 - Sketch.
I'd taken a little hiatus from crafting with my teammies at MTTC. I had been feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the messiness of life but I think I'm catching my breath and jumped right back in. :) Here I am once again raring to go! xx
Here's a little look see at the sketch we're using this week:
I've used Heart Puppy #1203(516) and My Goal in Life #24805 from Eureka Stamps. I colored the image with my Copic markers. All black and white pattern card stock is from Me and My Big Ideas MAMBI Specialty Card Stock. I used Blissful Banners stamp set from Paper Smooches to create the red and white pattern card stock. Plain card stock, brads and metal ribbon are from my stash.
I cried something fierce when I made this card and even before I started, I felt I was being a hypocrite for making this card. It's a long and sordid story but it has to do with my estranged daughter's dog, Fish. She abandoned Fish with me. I didn't know WHAT to do with Fish. I have a puppy of my own and I wasn't prepared to care for a high-maintenance dog. Fish had an anal gland issue and often required vet visits and expensive special dog food. I love Fish! We'd had her since September 2009. When my daughter dropped Fish off here, it was with the understanding it was to be short-term while daughter sought a permanent home for Fish. My daughter is bi-polar and unable to care for a dog and I was glad she finally admitted to that. Anyway, long story short, I had to take Fish to a shelter and it was the most gut-wrenching decision I had to make and carry out. I cried about it for an entire week before the event and for the entire two weeks after the event. Now daughter is using this as the reason to never speak to me again. But she wasn't already speaking to me. I'd made every effort to contact her for four months prior to this. So, I felt like such a hypocrite but at the same time... I am a dog lover... there's not a day that goes by I don't think of Fish and the decision I had to make. I'm taking it day by day and trying not to be so hard on myself and I am constantly reminding myself that daughter forced my hand. So anyway, that story is for those of you who actually take the time to read my blog! :) I hope you won't judge me too harshly. I'm doing a pretty good job of that all by myself! :(
So, anyway, I'd like to enter this card into these challenges, if I may please:

I've used Kidz Beach from Bugaboo Stamps. I've colored the image with Copic markers and used some torn Kraft paper to create the sand beneath her feet. Pattern paper is from Echo Park Summer Party. Starfish sticker, sequins and twine came with a kit from Kraftin' Kimmie. Sun foam sticker and acetate are from my stash. I used a Fiskars Circles Template to cut out the hole in the box.

Super Size It!

Welcome to my creative corner of the world! Ha! I've a little gift bag and card to share with you today.
Click on the images for a closer look!
I used the Everyday Postage Stamp Printable Set from The Cutting Cafe. The original stamp sizes are 1 X 0.835 inches. I 'super sized' the image to 2-7/8" X 3.5" for the gift tag and 4-3/16" X 5" for the gift bag. I colored the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut them. I made the envelope to go along with the gift card and used one of the corners of the 'stamp' to create a matching edge. I thought it came out pretty clever! lol

Cluck! Cluck!

My DT project for this week's anything goes challenge at Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog.
Here's a closer look at the image.
Here's a peek at the inside.
I've merged two images from A Day for Daisies to create the scene, Amy Hen and Mary Hen. I created the blue sky and sun rays with Pebbles, Inc. chalks. I colored the images with Copic markers. I made the flower with a Michael's daisy punch and a button with embroidery floss from my stash. The chicken wire paper is from Michael's Recollections Rooster Provincial paper pad. The striped border and all card stock are from my stash. The small stamped rooster is from The Stamp Pad Co., Inc. and was a gift from a former crafting buddy.
I printed up two sentiments to use with the card and I'm having the toughest time deciding on two things. First, which sentiment to use and second, where to put it on the card! Should it go on the front or on the inside? I've printed up in Word "Let's cross the road and freak everybody out." and "Let's cross the road and give the humans something to think about." I also have a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC that reads "Rise & Shine" and I thought of putting that on the front and one of the two sentiments on the inside, but again... I'm having a spell trying to decide which sentiment! :\ lol What do you think?

Happy Holidays

My DT project for Inspiration Destination using a Doctor Digi fun Santa image!
Click on the images for a closer look!
A peek at the inside of the card:
This is Selfie Santa and I've colored the image with Copic markers, a silver gel pen, white flock from Michael's Recollections line and Snow Crystal loose glitter to make all the snow shimmer. All supplies are from my stash.

You Color My World!

Hiya, bloggers!
I want to share a little project with you that I've been working on for years! Ha! Not really! I mean I had the idea years ago... as a matter of fact... not too long after I started watching Rachel Ray. I. Love. Her. Idea. Of a garbage bowl! Ever since then, I have had one garbage bowl after another in all areas of my home where I do little projects. For example, at my craft table! What crafter doesn't do that, right? Also, at my vanity table, on my nightstand, on the kitchen island, at the dining room table, at the bathroom sink, near the front door, by the back door and in the utility room. I should probably put one in the family room as well but I'm a single gal and I rarely use that room so I haven't really had the need for one in there but I hope to change that soon.
I've been an empty nester now since about end of March. It's not the first time either. Every time I get used to it, someone has come back home! But no more! I got rid of all the extra beds! lol I am hoping that will keep everyone at bay! What do you think? :p
Anyway, all of my garbage bowls are actually empty Lysol disinfecting wipe containers without the lid. You know what I mean? They are tall and white and bland. Blah! :)
Sssoooo, I originally started decorating this container for my vanity table but halfway through it, I decided to use it on my crafting table.
I started by using The Cutting Cafe Color My World Printable Stamp Set as the background paper. I colored with my Copic markers in my favorite colors! Easy peasy! lol I then added the bling ribbon I got at Michael's around the top and bottom for some dazzle. Then, because I'll be looking at it pretty often, I added a pre-printed journal card from my stash with a message that will lift my spirits and remind myself how smart and creative I am! Every! Single! Day! :D Then I outlined all the swirls and journal mat with Stickles Glitter Glue in Yellow, Xmas Red, Black Diamonds, Melon and Baby Pink and added some homemade flowers to make it girly... like me! ;) I love that I will look at this every time I sit down at my craft table! Which is pretty often, I tell you! ;) lol The pictures don't really show how shimmery it is which I just love! I almost hate putting trash in it! lol
What do you think? Kinda fancy for a garbage bowl, huh? lol I can't wait to do the rest of my garbage bowls! ;) Ha!
Click on the images for a closer look.
I loved this swirly pattern!
Here's a close up of the journal card:
Awesome blossom, huh? And I bet you were thinking all this time that was an onion bloom at Chili's! Ha! :D
I'd like to enter my little project into these challenges, if I may please:
