In the past, I've not participated in color challenges... they intimidate me... but I got to thinking... isn't that what a challenge is all about? ... to take you out of your comfort zone. So here you find me! :)
Whimsie Doodle has a cute series of images called Social Teens. This is one that appealed to me... Pinterest! Ugh! At times, I almost shudder thinking about it. ;) lol I have lots of boards over there... lot of ideas I've pinned... I've completed about a dozen of my pins... I have THOUSANDS more waiting for me to act on them. :-\ Thank goodness I'm not getting graded... better yet... paid... for completing these! lol ;) On the other hand... if I were getting paid... I'd probably completed way more than I have! :)
This image appealed to me because of that. Social Teen Pinterest. Can you believe it? I love it! lol
The orange used in the entire image is from an EK Success color pencil. I used these Copic markers for the rest of the image:
Hair and ponytail bands: N6, N8
Skin tone: E00, E11, R20
Shoes: R43, Y19
Dress: R43, RV13, Y13
Thumbtack: R46, RV69
Eyes: YG41, YG45
Here is the card:
All card stock used is from my stash. The pink pearl beads are Spotted Canary Studio 112 adhesive gems from Joann's Fabric and Craft Store $1 bins. The pink ribbon is from Michael's. The background paper, including the cutout tab form, is from Make Merry - Celebrate by Michelle Coleman from Fancy Pants Designs.
I think I rocked the color challenge! :) I'm sure happy about it!
Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment so I'll know you did! :)
