i {heart} card sketches w/a tWiSt #59

Boy howdy! I almost missed this deadline. I've been so busy rearranging my life so my brother can move in and then I had an appointment with my new to me oncologist I plumb forgot about getting this card uploaded. I had it done earlier in the week. :-\ There goes that short-term memory again. :p lol
So anyway... this is for the i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #59. This is the sketch:
The option is interactive and thank goodness it's optional! lol I completely forgot about that part! lol I tell you ... that short-term memory ... it's like waking up in a brand new world every morning! Ha! So here's my card:
The image is from Spring Baskets at From the Heart. All supplies used are from my stash and I've colored the image with Copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, I'm in a Hurry to Get Things Done

"Oh I rush and rush until life's no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die. But I'm in a hurry and don't know why." Alabama
Got the song stuck in my head now that I had that thought. :)
I made this card on Saturday when I was still feeling full of gusto and thought I had lots of time to get things done. Well, Sunday came around and I really started feeling the effects of the chemo again. I was super tired and couldn't drag my butt out of bed! :( I did manage to muster up enough energy to get out of bed long enough to work up a homemade pepperoni pizza for Jay. It's the least I can do considering all he does for his mother! :) Then yesterday, I realized, April 1st is next week! My brother, Jimmy... he's the one who was diagnosed with Stage IV kidney cancer back in May 2013... will be moving in with us. He's unable to work anymore and Jay suggested to me, maybe he'd like to come stay with us for awhile. :) I have a good son. It's not enough he's supporting me while I am unable to work... he thought of his uncle in the same boat. I'm truly blessed with one loving child. :) Anyway, I spent the day getting the spare bedroom emptied out and ready for move in day. Then I cleaned the kitchen a little bit. There was the leftover drama from cooking up a pizza from scratch Sunday. :-\ Let me tell you... making a pizza from scratch... it's NO easy task... it's hard work... and it's MESSY! :( I had good intentions to clean the bathroom, do some laundry... and when I write laundry... it's a big deal for me... I line dry our wash. The dryer had been making an occasional weird sound since we moved into our home in September 2012 and it's gotten really bad in the last couple of weeks... AND I want to contribute to saving some money as well since I cannot help with the bills... so when I say I'm doing laundry... it's not a small feat... :-\ Then, I'd hoped to be able to blog and color some more yesterday as well... but while cleaning the kitchen, I got the bright idea to bake a cake from scratch... and that was the end of my productive Monday. :) So here I am today... rushing to get this card I made up on Saturday into this challenge before the cut off. *SIGH* My never ending quest to win a The Paper Shelter (TPS) challenge. :-\ By the way, the cake was awesome! :) Moist and delicious and didn't need the homemade frosting I BELIEVED I could also make. lol ;)
So this is for the current Challenge #150 - More Than 5 Flowers. I used a ribbon made of flowers. I hope that counts. I thought of adding more flowers... but it already looks pretty busy. Also, when I add flowers to these cards, I cannot get it into the envelope a second time. It's a special fold card and ends up pretty thick. I've made this card a few times... you can see each and every one here, here and here. Actually, there are a couple more but I couldn't find them. :-\ I used a tutorial from Whiff of Joy and you can see it here. Each time I've gifted the card, when the recipient attempted to put the card back into the envelope, the envelope tore. :-\ Go figure! So anyway, here's my card:
Here's a second shot:
It's like no matter what I did, I couldn't get the card to photograph straight. After the 15th photo, I realized, it's cause the card is trying to pop open. I guess I should have untied the ribbon and allowed it to be open. It certainly would show all the folds and explain why it's a crooked photo. I just couldn't get myself to untie that bow. I struggle with bows. BIG TIME. :-\
Anyway, this image is a newer image from TPS called Stylish Flirting. I've fussy cut the image and highlighted her as if she's floating down the stairs while he's looking up at her. :) lol It's for a great-niece's first prom. I thought he looked like he was in awe of being with her and I'd like for my great-niece to always feel like a prom queen and that's what I wrote on the inside. :) I don't know why I'm trying so hard to win a TPS challenge. Since the release of this image, there have been 13 more and I've purchased six of them! I think I have three more in my shopping cart waiting till Friday when Jay gets paid and hoping he'll give me an allowance. Not sure about that. I've been approved to be seen at a health clinic and the co-pay is $10. We hadn't had that payment before now. Ssooo... I'm thinking the belt is gonna get just a bit tighter. :( So I guess there IS some urgency to me winning the challenge now! ;) lol
Anyway, back to my story, all the supplies used to create this card are from my stash. I used Copic markers to color the image. The silk black ribbon is from Raisin Boat and the flower ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I bought three yards and split it with my friend, Maria, thinking I could go back and get some more. Well, the last time we went there, I looked for it and none was to be found! :(
I think that's enough for my story. :) I've gone on and on long enough and I'm trying to make sure I get this in before the deadline!
So I hope I win! :) lol What are the odds!?! :-\
Anyway, geez, I DO use that word a lot! lol I had a guy I used to date tell me that once and I thought pish posh, what does he know? Apparently, quite a bit as it turns out! ;) Anyway, ;) lol ... today's plan, now that I've blogged, is to finish cleaning the kitchen from yesterday's cake making mess... and I hope I don't get any new bright ideas while in there... clean the bathroom, maybe some laundry but I'll be happy if I can just get the kitchen done. :) lol

Sunday Release at DS4J

Here I am with this week's Sunday Release from DigiStamps4Joy (DS4J).
These are the new images:
In case you did not know... because I certainly didn't until this week... DS4J has a paper doll image! Her name is Penny and here she is wearing the cheerleader outfit. Now remember, this is NOT how she's available. She's featured here wearing the new cheerleader outfit release from above:
This is the new image I chose to work with, New Home:
Here's my card:
I've colored the image with Copic markers and all the supplies I've used are from my stash. I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
I am a follower of all these blogs and display badges and / or links here.
Hope you'll pop on over to the DS4J blog and have a look at the fabulous creations my teammies have made with the new releases.

DS4J Progressive Christmas Challenge

Did you know DigiStamps4Joy is having a monthly progressive challenge? You know what that means right? ;) lol
This month's image is called Christmas Paper
Here is my card:
I dabbed all the words with Pebbles chalks to make them pop and then I added some rhinestones for some shimmer.
Thanks for stopping by!

i {heart} card sketches w/a tWiSt #58

It's that time of week again when I am playing along with the weekly challenge at From the Stamps Community i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #no.58. Here is the sketch with info about the twist:
Here is my card:

This is French Mustache Birdbrain from From the Heart Stamps. I used a Fiskars punch to create the dimension in the corner with four layers of paper from my stash. I made the flower from a Michael's Recollections Daisy punch. I punched out several layers, misted them with water to soften the card stock and then squeezed the petals inwards. I then staggered and stacked them to make it look fuller. I finished by adding a button from my stash. I meant to add one of the sentiments that came with the set that reads "Bonjour" but I completely forgot about it until I was photographing it but I think we can all figure that's what he's saying... or maybe Merci beaucoup. ;) lol
So that's it for this week. See you next week and thanks for stopping by! :)

Thursday DT Spot at Fitztown

Here I am again this week featuring a card for the current Challenge #27 - Anything Goes at Fitztown Challenge Blog (FCB). Everyone loves an anything goes! I know I do! Rules and prizes have been changed up a bit over there to make it more player friendly so be sure to check them out. In the mean time, I'd like to show you my card:

All black and white card stock is from my stash. Ha! ;) The sentiment is from Create with TLC. The image is from Fitztown. I've colored the image with Copic markers and this is an A2 card in a CAS style... I think. :)
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
CMC#42 Something New at Card Mania Challenges (I'm using a new digi stamp and it can be used for a masculine card or to make a new announcement of sorts.)
I am a follower of all these blogs and display badges and / or links here
I hope you have plans to join us over at FCB! As I wrote earlier, the rules have been loosened a bit to allow for friendlier participation and we'd love to have you pop on over and share your latest creation!

1st Bingo Challenge

I am playing along in my first bingo challenge ever! That I can remember... which isn't saying much these days... :-\ ... but I'm pretty sure it's the first one. :) lol
I chose to go straight across top row using ribbon, Bugaboo image and pearls. This is my card:
This is FlowerPocket7 and I've colored the image with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. Paper is from DCWV Lemon Flower Stack. Ribbon and pearl hearts are from my stash.
I'd like to also enter this into the TTCRD Challenge March 18th - 24th at Through the Craft Room Door.
I am a follower of all these blogs and display badges and / or links here.
Hope this cheery card put you into a cheery mood! :)

DS4J Challenge #88 - Vintage

Come join us for the newest challenge at DigiStamps4Joy, Challenge #88 - Vintage. Here's my take on vintage:

Here are closeups of each shot:
This is how it looks in its entirety:
This is a close up of the corset:
I've used the image Corset and Frills from DigiStamps4Joy. I've used both of the images. I covered the "frills" portion with a skirt of tulle for more interest and really the most important reason... I cannot color folds yet. I'm still learning and the frills has LOTS of folds. So I'm working on becoming somewhat of a novice on that. Ha! The papers I have used are from Graphic 45. The rest of the supplies are from my stash. I dabbed some Stickles Glitter Glue in Star Dust on the corset where I imagined it was lined with lace. ;) lol The flower was actually brown but I thought it was too much of a contrast with all the creams and black and I couldn't turn brown into cream so I turned it black. Then silly me found some brown feathers but by then it was too late. *sigh* Isn't that how it always works out?
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
I am a follower of all these blogs and display badges and / or links here.
I hope you'll pop on over to DS4J Challenge Blog and have a look at what all my teammies have been up to as well and maybe even join in on the fun!

Challenge #225 - Plenty of Embellies

I've made this card to play along with Challenge #225 - Plenty of Embellies (w/a Mo image) at Bronte and Bella's Mo's Challenge Blog. The post didn't specify, that I found, a minimum number of embellies so I had to force myself to stop after, what I count as six, or eight depending on how you count them, and I hope that covers me. :) By the way, I wish I looked THIS cute in a bikini! ;) lol
Here's my card:
This is Janie in July and I just love this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I've colored the image with Copic markers and all supplies used are from my stash. The embellies I used are: pompom ribbon, charm, flower, brads (X2), acrylic overlays (X2) and Glossy Accents.
Things have been changed around at the challenge blog and they will now be having alternating week challenges and all I can say about that is PHEW! This weekly thing was killing me! :( Plus... they will also be spotlighting a TOP 3! How exciting! I hope mine qualifies although I doubt it. Have you ever seen the way over the top projects for these challenges? I'm nowhere close to their league but I love the images and I have to try for a win of a random draw. :) I have a HUGE wishlist at the store and being as I am not working and flat broke all the time, it is gonna take PLENTY of random wins to whittle that list down. Ha! ;)
As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Fitztown DT Spot

This is for my DT spot at Fitztown Challenge Blog (FCB) today. FCB is having everyone's favorite challenge, Challenge #27 - Anything Goes.

Here's my card:
This is a Morgan Fitzsimons image and you can find more like these in the Image Gallery at Fitztown. I've colored the image with Copic markers. The background printed card stock is from a Farm Fresh paper pad from Michael's Recollections line. Button, twine and rickrack ribbon is from my long-hoarded stash. Yup! Still working on getting rid of that! ;) lol I found out something recently that totally blew me away. I read an article that discussed scraps and it read that the blogger uses the unprinted white BACK SIDE of her card stock for mats. *shocked face* *8-O* I was floored to say the least! ;) lol I would never have thought to do that! I find myself buying white card stock every time I turn around. What an awesome idea! The sentiment is handwritten and it's something I read somewhere and thought it too cute to not use myself. :)
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
I am a follower of these blogs and display badges and / or links here.
I hope to see you over at FCB to play along with Challenge #27 - Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by!

MelJen's Challenge #201 - Lucky You!

I've done it now! :( I hope I don't get into trouble! This image appeared to me at first to be a male frog but as I was coloring it... it dawned on me... I think the frog is a female! So I gave her lips. I didn't mean for the lips to be so huge. I kinda kept going crooked on the top lip and tried fixing it and just kept making it fuller and fuller until finally I said STOP! I showed it to my son and before I explained about the goof he said she looks like she's trying to be a very pretty frog. :) lol So I thought I'd go ahead and post her because I almost didn't. :-\
So here's my card:
See what I mean? I still think she came out adorable but I didn't want anyone thinking I was trying to change the image. I just added lips. :) So the paper is wicked old and probably retired from It Takes Two. The sentiment comes from a digital stamp set I own. Twine and glittery foam shamrock shape are from my stash. Of course, I colored the image with Copic markers. So what do you think? Did I do wrong? I hope not!
So anyway, this is Froggy's Pad from MelJen's Designs. I'd like to enter it into Challenge #201 - Lucky You at MelJen's Designs Challenge Blog
Hope you are having a lucky St. Patrick's Day! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Fitztown Challenge #27 - Anything Goes

Yay! Time for an Anything Goes Challenge at Fitztown Challenge Blog (FCB)! I love those types of challenges! Who doesn't?!? So I hope you'll come on over and join in on the fun! FCB has relaxed the rules a bit and it should be more fun to play along. Come read the new rules here. Since there were changes made to the rules, well, there were changes made to the prizes and you can read about those here
In the meantime, here's my card for Challenge #27 - Anything Goes:
I've used Cameo 4 from the Cameo Collection at Fitztown. Here are some close ups. I'd like you to see some of the shimmer and sparkle:
This is the inside:
I've used background card stock from my long-hoarded stash. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut. It is perfect for fussy cutting! No little cuts... I like that! Too many times, I've ruined an image by a slip of the hand. :( I matted the image on two nestable diecuts from Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles SM in black card stock and red shimmer card stock. The lace ribbon and the flowers are trimmed from a second ribbon I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I used two silk ribbons in black and burgundy from Raisin Boat to make the bow. This type of card needs a large bow and I am out of wide ribbon. Since I'm not working... I have to get super creative sometimes. :-\ I think the double ribbon worked in place of the wide ribbon bow. Rhinestones are from Want to Scrap. The sentiment is from Wishes Word Art Set at Create with TLC. Happy birthday is from a Raisin Boat clear stamp set called Formal Phrases. I dabbed some Stickles Glitter Glue in Stardust on the flowers and the necklace on the image for some added dazzle! For the fold, I used a tutorial from Whiff of Joy and you can find it here. And there you have it! :)
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
I am a follower of these blogs and display badges and / or links here
I hope you will join us at FCB for Challenge #27 - Anything Goes. Till then... thanks for stopping by! :)

Sunday Release at DS4J!

Can you believe it? It's that time of the week again and boy howdy... this week the Sunday Releases from DigiStamps4Joy (DG4J) are way too cute and springy! I don't know about you but I'm ready for spring... and summer, too! :)
So here's the image I used for my project:
Here's the card I've made:
Here's a view from the front:
Does that scream spring or what? Well, it definitely isn't what! ;) lol The background paper is from Storytellers Club. I cannot remember where the butterfly die is from. The flower printed ribbon is from Michael's. I used a polka dots 5X7 embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the yellow strip of card stock. I colored the image with Copic markers... and THAT'S how I put this baby together. :)
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
I am a follower of these blogs and display badges / links here.
Here's a peek at the other release available to me to use:
Aren't both of these images great!?! I hope you'll pop on over to DS4J so you can take a look at what my teammies had to show as well. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my place!

Challenge #149 - Away With the Fairies

I'm still trying to win over at The Paper Shelter (TPS). The steady wheel grinds the stone or something like that... that's me... the steady wheel. ;) lol
So this is why I'm playing along with this week's Challenge #149 - Away With the Fairies and I sure do hope that means use a fairy and not get rid of them as I originally thought when I read it but then I went and looked at the samples and YUP! They all had fairies! :)
So here's my card:
This is Follow Me on Fairybook from TPS. Isn't she too cute? But really... what image from TPS isn't too cute?!? I love the idea that she's really into her laptop! And I don't know about everyone else, but when I'm on my laptop... my mantra is... keep calm. Anything that can go wrong, does go wrong on the laptop so I let my son use it and I only use it when I go into the hospital because I MUST be able to check into Facebook! ;) lol Isn't that awful!?! I'm so hooked on technology. Curses! :-\
So anyway, all supplies are from my stash. I've dabbed the fairy wings and dress in Stickles Glitter Glue in Star Dust. I dotted the center of all the flowers in Liquid Pearls in Buttercup. The background paper is from Storytellers Club and the sentiment is from Sentiments - Fairy Wishes by StampArt Design by Kathryne at Whimsy Stamps... and that's all I know about the stash! :( lol
As always, thanks for stopping by! :)

ADFD Challenge #91 - Anything Goes

This is so wicked exciting for me! A Day for Daisies is having Challenge #91 - Anything Goes. How awesome is that? I love anything goes challenges but really... who doesn't!?!
I got this freebie from their store and been itching to make something with it. I think they switch out their freebies each month because when I first discovered the blog, I went and had a look and I don't remember seeing this image... but really... that doesn't mean anything! Short-term memory loss... I suffer from it... I hope I can remember what I was writing about by the time I get to the end of the post! ;) lol Isn't that great?!? The freebies... not the short-term memory loss. ;) lol
Here is my card:
Here's a view from the front:
Here's a closer look at the shimmer on the flowers:
Sorry about the blur but I've written about how that may be from aging affecting my hand's steadiness or was it the pixels changing when I crop the picture? Yeah, I think it's the pixels changing. ;)
All supplies are from my long-hoarded stash. I know the background paper is from Storytellers Club but for the life of me, I don't remember where the flowers or rhinestones are from. I colored the image with Copic markers. I dabbed Stickles in Star Dust on her dress and flowers and used a silver gel pen on the straps of the dress. I thought she came out fabulous! I've seen this image colored by others and she's always been in pastels and I started to do the same but something inside of me screamed "BOLD" so I did. I kinda wanted to use red but then didn't know how to get the birds to fit into the scheme of things so I decided to go with blue. I think it came out super duper nice! ;) My thoughts all the time. That's why I'm here in blog land. So I can show my nice cards. ;) lol
With that said, thanks for stopping by! :)

SOG Pot o' Gold Challenge

I haven't participated in a Some Odd Girl (SOG) challenge in so long and I'm not sure why. I love their images. I have plenty. It's a month long challenge so there's no rush... and yet... my life is not my own sometimes. I've been posting plenty of cards lately because I've been feeling well. Not sure how long it will last but as long as it does, here you will find me! :)
So this is for SOG's Pot o' Gold Challenge. I almost didn't participate. I thought... I don't have anything gold... but then... I looked through my long-hoarded stash because... it's been long-hoarded... I don't remember what I have any more... and guess what? I DO have gold stuff! *blush*
Here's my card:
Here's a front view:
Here's a close up of the image and gold:
I've colored the image, SOG's Rapunzel, with Copic markers. The gold striped card stock I used on the background is unknown. The mat is cut with a We-r Memory Keepers Lucky 8 Mini Scallop Punch. I embellished the scallop with Robin's Nest Metallic Gold Dew Drops. I used a button from my stash to thread some silk ivory ribbon from Raisin Boat. I used a sketch from i {heart} sketches at From the Heart Stamp Community number 56.
Tada! There you have it! I thought it came out awesome! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

I {heart} card sketches w/a tWISt #57

I'm playing along with From the Heart i {heart} card sketches w/a tWISt #57. This is a weekly challenge and I hope I can keep it up! Participants receive a $1 credit for each completed challenge! You know what that means? Freebies! lol I'm all about those! :( I'm shameless! I'm suppose to show the sketch on my post and I forgot to do so last week! My bad! This is the sketch for this week:
This is my card:
The twist is embossing. I love embossing. I don't know why I don't do it more often. That's not true. I know exactly why I don't do it more often. I was convinced to buy the wrong die cutting machine and that's all I have to say about that. So anyway, I used a dot embossing folder and for the life of me I cannot remember who makes it. It's either a The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby or a Darice folder I purchased at Consumer Crafts. Speaking of which, aren't they the most awful place to shop!?! They're always enticing me to come shop with free shipping! :-\ I probably should not have signed up for the emails! ;) lol I used a Fiskars border punch on the white card stock. There's a strip of printed green vellum running across the center that I'm kinda wishing I'd used a lighter green for the background so it would show up. It's really pretty, all swirly with different shades of green and shamrocks floating around. I looked high and low for a swirl I could fit into the corner but everything I had covered the image and I didn't want to do that! :-\ So I improvised and added a cluster of shamrocks I bought from the $1 bins at Joann's Crafts and Fabrics. Of course, I colored the image with Copic markers. :) I used an image from a stamp set called Spring Baskets from From the Hearts Stamps
So I think this will do me for awhile. I've been going a little crazy posting TWO posts every day for about a week. I'm still off the chemo and I continue to feel somewhat better than I did while I was taking it but I've begun to feel really tired and I'm afraid that means I have to go back on the chemo soon. :-\ So, if you think about it, whisper my name during your daily prayers, please. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Old Love

When I first saw this image, I knew exactly how I was going to put it together. Kinda, sorta... I had an idea it would be a masculine card... and I knew it would have to be an anniversary card... and after that... I was pretty much open to any kind of possibility. :)
I saw this sketch this morning and it all came together for me:
The sketch is from Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Blogspot Stella Says Sketch Challenge #106. Boy, what a mouth full! Ha! Try saying that really fast three times! ;) But guess what?!? I missed the deadline! :-\ I liked the sketch though so I went for it anyway. :)
The image is Old Boots from Beccy's Place and this is for her March Challenge
Here is my card:
Background paper is retired from The Angel Company. The button is wicked old! I inherited a huge jar of old buttons from my mom she'd been collecting since she was a young mother. That's how she described it to me. My mother celebrated her 93rd birthday last May. So I thought the old button went really well with the Old Boots. :) On a side note, I've been using buttons from that jar since I was a teenager... about... maybe 13 years old as far as I can remember and I turned 52 last September. So almost 40 years of hauling this button jar around! I'm NOWHERE close to emptying the jar! 8-] Crazy isn't it? ;) lol The sentiment is from Love to Think of You by StampArt Design by Kathryne at Whimsy Stamps. I used a Fiskars border punch to create the interesting border pattern on the bottom. I colored the image with my beloved Copic markers. The remaining supplies are from my long-hoarded stash... which explains the retired paper. :-\
I'd like to enter my this card into the following challenges:
I am a follower of all these blogs and display badges / links here.
OK, so I think that keeps the challenges under ten. I count nine but I'm not good at math. Ha! ;) That will be my excuse in case I'm wrong. As a DT Coordinator for another challenge blog, it perturbs me when participants have more than ten challenges they are participating in with their one card. For starters, often times, the theme is overlooked or any of the other rules. I checked rules and themes and I think I got them all. Also, it's not so much for a prize... although... truth be told... that WOULD be nice! ;) I just happen to think my card came out so phenomenally fabulous that I want LOTS of folks to see it!!! ;) lol Ha!
Ssooo... I'm often told I'm a hopeless romantic. I've always thought that when you marry someone... it should be your best friend... someone who you would never tire of seeing or speaking with. I know there would be ups and downs but when it all came to an end... this is how it should be. Growing old with someone... something that eluded me but I believe in it and still want it for myself. I believe my moment has passed but I've raised my 26 year old daughter with the same thoughts and I hope it is not too late for her... or heaven forbid... that I've misled her. I know she thinks as I do because I shared with her something I'd heard. I had someone close to me tell me she didn't want to retire because she'd have to spend every day, all day long with her retired husband and he would get on her nerves. When I told my daughter this, my daughter said that was the saddest thing she'd ever heard. That was my exact thought when I heard this! Maybe I am TOO much of a hopeless romantic. I hope not! :) I want my daughter to get to experience old love... like a pair of old comfortable shoes... that have been through a lot together and remain side by side. :) That's where I got the idea of an anniversary card and I thought the sentiment fit it so well.
Well, enough of that from me today. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsie Doodles ABC Challenge

I'm so trying to beat a deadline here! lol I thought I had more time but turns out... the challenge ends today... maybe tomorrow... I cannot ever be sure with the time difference. :(
So anyway, this is for Whimsie Doodles ABC (Anything but a Card) Challenge. I've used one of the freebies called Love Chocolate Bunnies. In this case... white chocolate! Ha!
So here's my project:
I colored the image with Copic markers and then fussy cut. This textured plaque was left in our home by the previous tenants. I thought of tossing it out but I thought it would make for a good memory of when we purchased our own home. I just wasn't sure how to use it because I didn't care for the look of the plaque. Today, I scrubbed it clean and painted it white with acrylic paint for a clean slate. I then glued some K&Company cutout flowers I'd been hoarding for years! Shame on me! ;) lol I found these cute little plastic chick doodads at Michael's on clearance. Came in handy today! :) The ribbon is also from a Michael's fabulous ribbon sale. I dabbed the cottontail on the rabbit with Liquid Applique and sprinkled it with Stampendous Crystal Snow to make it look more like the marshmallow it is. ;) lol I also applied some Stickles in Stardust on the dress' ruffles. Here's a blurry close up:

Sorry about that! :( I guess I've not the steady hand I once had or the pixels changed when I cropped it. Yes, the pixels changed. ;) lol But you get the idea and that's what I wanted you to have.
I'm planning to play along with Whimsy Stamps Easter Challenge #69 with one of their images but I thought I'd throw this one in that challenge too. In case this helps my numbers! :)
I'm also entering it into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #123 - Anything Goes. Yay for me! :)

Uneggspected!

I found another progressive challenge! Whee! ;) lol I'm truly hopeless! Really... I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it... I desperately need an intervention. But before then... let me show you my card! ;) lol
This is for DeeDee's Digis March Digi of the Month Challenge. To play along you need the Uneggspected digi stamp set and it's only $1.25 to start with. This is a progressive challenge so you know what that means, right?!? Yay! :) lol
All supplies used are from my long-hoarded stash and I colored the image with Copic markers.

Challenge #224 - AG w/Mo Image

I originally purchased this image from Mo's Digital Pencil because it was around Valentine's Day last year and ... I hate to say this ... I am NOT a huge fan of Valentine's Day. What can I say? I'm a single gal! Now... some Valentine's Days have been fun... but not all of them. Valentine's Day 2010 was the BEST. I had THREE dates! I had breakfast with the first Valentine, lunch with the second and dinner with the third. The third was my favorite. He's also the one who broke my heart the BEST! Not until last year after Valentine's Day... took him awhile to get around to it and way too long for me to catch on. :-\ Isn't that how it usually goes? Anyway, I got sidetracked there... sorry... but I'd forgotten about the image. I found it not too long ago and I had someone visiting when I colored it and she asked if it was for a jerk. :) lol At the time, I'd forgotten I'd bought it for Valentine's Day and actually was thinking it would make a good sympathy or I'm sorry kinda of card for someone going through a hard time until I remembered the name of the image, Heartless... and you know... I didn't even realize I'd colored it using almost the same colors as the image at the shop! Ha! Silly me! Oh, well... so here's my card for Challenge #224 - Anything Goes with a Mo Image at Bronte and Bella's Mo's Challenge Blog:
So again... I've used supplies from my long hoarded stash and while I was making it, I got to thinking... I could give it to someone for Valentine's Day when I break his heart. :) lol So then... I probably should have made about a dozen of them. Ha! I don't need it now... the chemo and the leukemia have left me lifeless... but if I ever feel like I did late 2009 and early 2010... I'll need several dozen of these! I was a hot little number back then! ;) lol
I originally planned to link this up with {MOJO} Monday Challenge Blog using Mojo Monday 335 until I realized, the sketch was for LAST WEEK! Ugh! Teach me a lesson to look things up on an iPhone! That tiny screen will be the death of me someday! :-\
I didn't plan to enter this into any other challenge but when I realized I used the wrong sketch... I went looking and I found Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog is having some fabulous prizes this week! So I had to go for it! I've entered this into Challenge #75 - Anything Goes. You should pop on over there and check out the prizes! I don't ever win... but I'm always hopeful! :)
