Wow! Can you believe it's already the 15th?!? Where has the month gone? April Fool's Day was just last week! Time flies when you are having fun! Geez, I hope I'm having a blast! lol
Look at this image. He sure does look like he's having a blast! If you love fishing, you know he IS having a blast. Makes me jealous just to think of it! Hot summer days sitting in a chair by a lake somewhere with a couple of cold ones and good conversation with great companionship...
Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself. Fitztown Challenge Blog kicked off Challenge #31 - TOP 3 Favorites yesterday. Sounds complicated but it's really rather simple! :) You chose a favorite item from each row to make your project. Simple as that! It's almost like Tic-Tac-Toe without the grid and it doesn't have to be a straight line! Yay! So these are the choices:
Buttons, Brads, Eyelets
Ribbon, Fiber / Twine, Lace
Flowers, Bow, Charm
See! Easy peasy! :)
For my TOP 3 favorites I chose ribbon, bow and buttons. So here's my card:

Doesn't he just look so happy to have caught that fish?!? I would be! :) Here's a close look at some of the detail on the jacket. I used a silver gel pen where the zipper should go... and also on some of the detail of the fish.

I thought this image was listed in the store but when I was looking for the link, I come to find out it is not. So if you are interested in it, send this link in an email to sales@Fitztown.com and demand it be listed! In the meantime, if you express an interest in it, you can be assured someone will find a way for you to purchase it. :) You can find similar images in the Sports Collection. There are fantastic images in there for making masculine cards. UPDATE: You can find Sports 27 in the store now! Yay!
Here is the recipe for the card:
Coloring: Copic markers
Black and Kraft card stock
Sentiment: Create with TLC
Buttons, Ribbon and Twine: From my long-hoarded stash... :-\ All the buttons I use are from a massive jar of buttons I inherited from my 93 year old mother. I've been toting that jar around for over 30 years and the jar is still 3/4 full! I think the jar populates itself every night! ;) lol Anyway, all the buttons on the card are recycled. :)
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
