Thursday DT Spot at Fitztown

This is my DT-Thursday contribution for the current Challenge #31 - TOP 3 Favorites at Fitztown Challenge Blog (FCB). In case you've missed it, these are the choices:
Ribbon, Twine, Lace
Buttons, Brads, Eyelets
Flowers, Bow, Charm
You chose one item from each row. Kinda like Tic-Tac-Toe but not really. lol ;)
I had such a time with my card! lol I had selected a sketch I wanted to work with. Here, I'll show you:
The sketch is from Seems a Little Sketchy - Sketch 62. There's something missing from mine:
I got so caught up in making sure I had one item from each row... I forgot the doily! :( It was gonna go behind the image and sentiment. Pooh! :-\ I gave some serious thought to unmounting the card and redoing the whole thing but the image is on foam tape and pops up off the card. I wasn't sure I could remove it without damaging the image. Now that I am uploading the card... I realize... I missed some fussy cutting and forgot to shade a spot or two! OMgee! Thank goodness the card is for my 93 year old mother! She'll think it's wonderful just as it is because she thinks EVERYTHING I do is wonderful. Isn't that fantastic about mothers? So... here is my card:
Here is a close up of the image:
It still came out so purdy!
:) lol What can you expect from a Morgan Fitzsimons (MF) image? Nothing but purdy for sure! This image is Valentine 12 by MF from Fitztown
Here is the recipe:
Coloring: Copic markers, RV69, R37, R27, R24 and G99, G94 plus C1 for some shading
Added Stickles Glitter Glue in Star Dust for some shimmer
Papers: Graphic45 retired Transatlantic Collection
Sentiment: Word Art Wednesday Freebie
Brads, foam tape and card stock: from my stash
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
My Craft Creations: New Challenge 14/4-26/4/14 (Took me a few seconds to figure out what the date meant! Ha!)
I am a follower of all these blogs and display my badges and / or links here.
I hope you have time to join my teammates and me for the current challenge. Don't forget! We also have week 2 of Challenge #30 - Spots and Stripes going through till Sunday, April 20th, midnight, USA EST.
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is lovely! I am sure your mother will love it simply because it came from you - but it is beautiful! If you hadn't said I would not have known you didn't shade something or forgot to fussy cut a thing. Thanks for joining us at Scribble & Scrap this week!

  4. Oh my - you did have a bit of a challenge on this one. I had to laugh because I've done those things too but usually am not brave enough to tell people or share it :o) I would never have guessed of your challenges as I think it turned out gorgeous and I'm sure your 93 year old mother will too! Thanks for joining us this week at ATS&M.
