Country Charm

I love all things country and fall colors... in my kitchen... in the big city. :) lol That's not entirely true... when we lived in Connecticut, we lived in the country... and fall is my favorite season. When we first moved back to our fair city, we tried living out by the airport and here... the airport... is country... but I was one hot mama back then and it just didn't work out for me. It doesn't seem like much but that 20 minute ride to get back into the city proved too much for me. So I hauled my butt back into the city limits. Then I was diagnosed with CML and I really, really wishing I was living out in the country now. :\ Such is life sometimes!
It doesn't change anything though... I love country... and fall colors. :) When I saw this image... I knew right off she'd have to be made up country with fall colors and go into my kitchen. lol That was before I discovered the twisted easel card. Now... I'm kinda rethinking the whole thing... but I'm getting ahead of myself... let me show you my project:
Guess what? It's yet... ANOTHER twisted easel card! Here's the front view:
Here's a side view:
Here's a close up of the image:
Here's a close up of the handmade flower:
Isn't it fab?!? lol I think it came out absolutely gorgeous but then... it's my card... and it might just be me with that thought! lol So anyway...
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
I am a follower of these blogs. The blog layout I use does not allow me to list challenges on a sidebar. Instead, I display badges and / or links here
This is the sketch from Sketchy Colors:
This is how I put my card together:

I hope this makes you feel like going out to the country and picking apples. lol I know it's way too early for that but the thought made me homesick for New Hampshire. That was my most favorite pastime when we lived up there. I always get homesick during the fall. Once winter arrives, I'm super glad we live down here in HOT Texas! lol :)
Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Ema, this is absolutely beautiful! Your coloring is top notch on that image, and I love the papers you chose. The fish-tail cut ribbons with the buttons are so rich in color - delightful! Has made a wonderful design indeed! Thank you so much for sharing your project & creativity at our house!
