The Best Ship is Friendship

I'm here today to share a little project I made for Sherri Baldy using Image 389 at Scrapbook Stamp Society. Isn't she the cutest My Bestie ever!?! Makes me want to move back to Austin so I can go sailing on Lake Travis! Brought back some wonderful memories of a man I use to date who owned a sailboat. For the life of me... I've been trying to remember his name and face... I can see the boat clearly in my mind... but not him... I suppose he made a great impression on me... explains why I'm here and he's there. Ha! Anyway, I saw this image and just fell in love with her. I knew immediately what sentiment and paper I wanted to use as well. Don’t you just love it when things fall into place like that?
Here is my project:
It's a side easel card (my favorite) and here it is open with a view from the front:

I've popped the image up off the card with pop dots. Here's a looksie:
Here's a closeup of the image:
Here's a closeup of the sentiment. I used Word to write this up:
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
A Creative Romance: Fun in the Sun
Creative Corner Challenges: Something Summer Challenge [I couldn't figure out how to link to the challenge. :( ]
Sister Act Card Challenge: Challenge #68 - Anything Goes
The Stamping Boutique.com: New Challenge - Fancy Folds
Word Art Wednesday: Challenge #143 - Anything Goes
I am a follower of these blogs. The blog layout I use does not allow me to list challenges on a sidebar. Instead, I display badges and / or links here
Here is the sketch:
This is how I put this card together:
Image is colored with Copic markers and a silver gel pen
Michael's Recollections scalloped circle punch
Sentiment typed on Word

Thanks for visiting me today!
