Cat's Meow

I'm kinda wishing I'd gone with Cat's Meow but instead I went with "Meow's it going?" lol Well... it got the message across anyway. It's about a cat! lol This is DAY 4 of Paulette's Create with TLC 12 Day Progressive Challenge.

Tag It!

This is my CT project for this week's challenge at Fitztown Challenge Blog. The challenge is Tag It! Use a tag or make a tag... let me tell you... I don't know what that crazy CT Coordinator was thinking! lol I almost cried trying to come up with something but I saw something while perusing Pinterest and I had a light bulb moment.

I didn't get carried away with embellishments as I sometimes like to do with these Fitztown images. They just NATURALLY call for lots of embellishments but sometimes I feel it takes away from the image or a focal point. Here the image IS the focal point but I also want to draw attention to the doily. I love how it came out! Except for that I forgot about using a sealant and so I had a couple of smudges happen before I grabbed the sealant and took care of THAT! You know... one of the smudges... I was actually able to erase it! Isn't that wild? lol Wish I could have done so on all of the smudges but it is what it is and the card is still fabulous... if you ask me... and WHAT am I gonna say but fabulous!?! :)
Ssooo, what I saw on Pinterest was actually a sketch from My Favorite Things Stamps! lol MFT has a blog! Did you know that? I didn't! It was my first time to check out the link for the sketch image and I was lost in heaven for a few minutes... actually... about 15 minutes! On a blog! I don't usually spend that much time but I needed to see what I'd been missing out on! lol From what I could tell... a lot! They have TWO  weekly challenges and one of them is a sketch! This one isn't new. It's from last week... Sketch #194. I have quite a few MFT stamps ssooo... I best get busy! :D Anyway, I want to give them credit... as I well should... for the light bulb moment:

Like a Good Neighbor!

It's not State Farm! It's me! lol
Paulette, Digital Goddess of Create with TLC, has a progressive challenge going on right now... and I think we all should know by now... when it comes to progressive challenges... I'm there! :)
I read it wrong... of course... I thought I read it was a 12-month challenge but then as I was writing the email to request the image... I thought to myself... go back and ready it SLOWLY... so I did... it's a 12-DAY progressive challenge! Yikes! It's to coincide with World Card Making Day on October 4th. Good cause to celebrate! lol Not sure I can keep up with TWELVE DAYS but then... I've all my DT stuff ready to go so maybe I can... I didn't think I could do the Bugaboo Christmas in July Week-Long Challenge and... I DID! Ssooo... I can do this! No sweat!
I'm not sure we're allowed to blog this. ??? The progressive challenge post read we are to email pictures of finished projects but... nothing about linking and so forth but then I thought to myself... how else will we get the word out there? So here I am. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission... I think that is how the saying goes! :)
So this first image is for National Good Day Neighbor on September 28th. What a coincidence! I have a new neighbor moving in next door and what better way to show the family I'm a good neighbor! lol I think I'll fix up a basket of breakfast muffins and grab the morning paper and haul it over there to them come Sunday morning! I colored the image as I did because the house next door is yellow with white trimming.

I had to use a sketch so I could enter this fabulous card into a challenge...because if I don't... I'll feel incomplete for days on end... kinda like I'm running around naked!
This is the sketch:
Card Recipe:
Colored image with Copic markers
Stamped the sentiment with a PSX alpha pixie stamp set I've had FOREVER
Used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in Barn Door and Vintage Photo
Flowers made from a Michael's Recollections Petite Daisy Punch,
punched three times, layered and centered with a brown pearl bead from my stash
Kraft paper and plain card stock are also from my stash
Thanks for stopping by!

All Tangled Up!

Is there really any time of the year we can't talk Christmas? lol I thought I was done with my Christmas cards in July but here I am knee-deep into September and still at it. I best get with it too. December is not too far off! For now... I've been feeling poorly since Sunday... not much mojo but I wanted to make a Christmas card so I wouldn't get too far behind with my stash and here it is:

Autumn Mae

I love my SOGgies! What can I tell you? I. Just. Love. Them! One of the things I love the best... is that they are super easy to fussy cut... because sometimes... I'm just dangerous with scissors! lol

Blustery Day!

I discovered today two horrid things!
First, Rick St. Dennis' Sparkle and Glitter blog is still having their progressive challenges! I was under the impression that they'd stopped so I hadn't visited in a while. But today, I colored this image up and wanted to use it for a challenge so I popped on over there to see what was going on and that's how I found out! My bad! I really thought I'd read somewhere they had done away with those but maybe I read something wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.
Second, I owe a HUGE apology to the Freshly Made Sketches DT! I entered eight other challenges with the last challenge of theirs. I'm only supposed to do three but it seems... I forgot... because the first two challenges I used their sketches, I did only enter less than three. So... as DT Coordinator for a blog where NO ONE reads the rules... I feel terrible! I've always taken pride of complying with the rules, so I want to apologize for that. Actually, I'll have to apologize next time around because... I missed the deadline! Shocker! I know... first time ever! Ha!
With that out of the way, I have a card I want to share:

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches: #154 - A Sketch by Cindy L. I'm not entering the challenge because I missed the deadline... yet once again... but I did use the sketch and here it is:
Card Recipe:

Sentiment is from Pumpkin Pigwit at From the Heart Stamps

Want to See a Grown Woman Cry?

Ask me to make another one of these cards:

I watched a video for the instructions to this triple easel card. I probably should have looked through some pins on Pinterest as well but I didn't think of that till I was done... and had cried a bucket of tears.
Super fun image is Goofy Ghost - Tombstone from Bugaboo. I've colored the image with Copic markers and did a fussy cut on it.
All patterned paper is from The Angel Company, retired.
I printed the sentiment from Word on the computer and cut it into rectangles to add some interest to the sentiment.
I used a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles SM die for the shape of the card.
The Halloween-colored twine is WhiskerGraphics Divine Twine.
Plain card stock is from my stash and I used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in Black Soot to ink the edges of the papers.
I made the two little ghosts out of mulberry paper, used an eyelet setter to punch out the holes for the mouth and eyes, backed it with a scrap of black card stock and tied black embroidery floss around the neck. The shape of the image is from a pattern in ABC Paper Piecing by Hot Off the Press, Inc.
I'm entering this in Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog September Bingo Challenge. I went from top left to bottom right making my own embellishment (ghosts), Bugaboo image and twine.
Thanks for stopping by! Next time... bring me some tissues! lol :D
