Season's Greetings

December is upon us and that means a mad dash for making those last minute Christmas cards! Fitztown Challenge Blog is the place to do it too! lol We're having Challenge No. 64 - Red and Green. It's a color challenge but this close to Christmas, I went with Christmas themed as well. I've used an image from a set of four and I'd like to show you what I did. I think it's purr-fect for a cat-loving friend! ;)

Mr. Snowman

Brrrr... I am not sure what this snowman is making me think of... cold and freeeezing temps... or stuffing my face at Thanksgiving. Cause I'm afraid... I stuffed my face and I feel like he looks! Ha!
This week at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog it's all about snowmen for Challenge #269!
I got this adorable fun, fat snowman image from Just Inklined during their wicked awesome Black Friday sale! I went a little crazy and spent over $100 because with the 80% off and my reward points, it came out to a little under 19 bucks! I purchased something like 23 images so that came out to about $0.85 an image! Woohoo! I like thrifty! Ha!
So, I didn't mean to overdo on the turkey and desserts yesterday and today... or the shopping today... but I'd not been able to eat like a pig in like forever and a day... and Just Inklined was having a wicked awesome sale! It felt good to be able to eat... and spend... and not have my tummy go all topsy turvey on me... on both counts. Yay! lol
Ssooo... yeah... I kinda feel like he looks right about now... from the eating... not the shopping...

Owl for You

This is for the SECOND progressive challenge I missed on Facebook (FB) yesterday. It's a freebie I received from Faery Ink on FB. I think this is the last month for the progressive challenge over there. After discovering I'd missed yet another deadline, I went and double checked my dates on Alicia Bel Challenge Blog's Challenge No. 1 - Anything Goes because I picked up the freebie she gave out a couple of weeks ago just to play along and I'd HATE to miss out on the chance to win some of her cute images!
But for now, I'm sharing my project with the Faery Ink freebie. I participated in last month's challenge thinking it was just a handed out freebie and I think I've written before that if I pick up a freebie, I like to try to use it. It doesn't always work out but I sure do try! Anyway, it came with a prize! Imagine my surprise when I won! I got three free images PLUS the freebie! Isn't that awesome?

Falling for You

I am so horrified by what I discovered yesterday! You won't believe it either... sit down so I can tell you... I missed... not one... but TWO deadlines for progressive challenges on Facebook! *GASP!* I know! I'm just as shocked as you are! lol I'd not missed a deadline in like almost forever! Really! I know I use to miss LOTS of deadlines when I first started participating in challenges but not any in a really long time. I don't think anyway! Ha!
So this cute fall image is from Sassy Studio Designs and it's for their progressive challenge on Facebook. I went ahead and uploaded my image to the group and hope I don't have to buy next month's image but if I do, oh, well! I love their images!

I jest... it's been awhile for sure but yesterday I missed TWO deadlines! I'm so perturbed about that! :\ Ssooo... I think I have until month end for this one. I sure hope I'm not wrong again! :(

Stirrin' Up Somethin'

I have a friend I love and miss dearly. She's taken a second job and I hardly ever see her now. Well... also... I had that bad spell when I was taking the oral chemo medication and it was making me sick as a dog! :( But I've stopped taking the chemo and feeling energetic but she's still not available for some fun on account of that second job... and let me tell you... she's a LOT of fun! We have an inside joke about going all out when we are getting into trouble on account of once we got pulled over by the police and due to a misunderstanding, we ALMOST got arrested! lol We laugh about it now but at that time, I think she was ever bit as scared as I was. She was hand-cuffed and I was fixing to be handcuffed! It's a long and sordid tale and we weren't even drinking! All's well that ends well... so they say... but anyway... I thought of her when I saw this and the thought of stirring up something came to mind. Ha! I hope it brings a smile to her face. :)

It's the November Digi of the Month for the progressive challenge at DeeDee's Digis challenge blog. By the way, the deer have names! Monty and Miranda! Isn't that a hoot!?! I love it! lol There's a wonderful sale going on in the shop right now. 50% off everything! I've been looking and looking and resisting and resisting. I have until December 1st and maybe I'll have some spending money by then. Keeping my fingers crossed! I saw a few sets I really feel like I cannot live without! Ha!

S'more, Please!

Teehee! I was browsing my Doodle Pantry images to see which stamp set I'd like to use for this month's challenge. I always have such a dilemma! I love all the sets I have! But earlier in the week, I made a chocolate image card and used these same papers. I thought the scraps of paper would go perfect with this image! As usual, I was ssooo right! Teehee! I get the giggles when I'm right on the money!

Sweet!

It's that time of the month I share my progressive challenge projects with you. I'm so behind! Did I tell you I started working and that job is just ssooo interfering with my crafty time!?! :\ It's really making me reconsider if I want to eat and pay bills or stay home and craft. Ha! I jest of course! It's a fabulous, super easy job and all I can say about that is how I wish I could take my Copic markers to work with me! haha
All kidding aside, here is my first progressive challenge project for November.

Haha... the pictures are HUGE and I wish I'd thought to take a picture of this next to a quarter or something so you could see that's it's a 2.5x3.5 gift tag! I'm working on making a set of these with this fabulous image from Imagine That! to have on hand with some bags of candy I keep on hand to pass out to my bazillion great and grand nieces and nephews who stop by unexpectedly on occasion. I'm desperately working on being the favorite aunt! lol ;)
I didn't think resizing it to a 799 pixel would make it so HUGE! Lesson learned!
Card Recipe:
Pre-colored image Jars of Cheer from Imagine That!
Card stock and printed paper from my stash
Here's a pic of the set:
This is for the November monthly progressive challenge at Imagine That! Progressive Challenge and Inspiration Blog. I love the image! It's just such a happy cheerful image! haha Today I find out that there's an awesome paper set that would have gone perfect with it!
I might still go get it. I think it looks like it would be perfect for some Christmas cards, too! I'll have to think about it really, really hard. Something about going back to work that is keeping me flat broke! Can you believe it? Ha!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hypnotic

I haven't decided which is the most hypnotic... his stare... or the paper... ;) haha

Welcome to my blog today! I'm sharing this project for Challenge #268 - Time and Space at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. Wow! Different, don't you think!?! I love the idea! Hope you'll find time to play along with us!

Did Someone Say Chocolate?

I'm sorry... did you say something after chocolate? lol

This week at Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog, we're having challenge #8 and a DT call. If you like working with a variety of images and an anything goes format each week, please consider applying. It is a weekly challenge but you do not have to post every week. Just commit to something twice a month and you're good to go! You can send me an email and we can chat about it to txgrrlnnh@msn.com.

We're also being sponsored by DigiStamps4Joy! The prize is a $10 gift voucher to the store. Awesome blossom, right? :)

Ssoooo, I was talking chocolate before... when I hear the word chocolate... I tend to lose whatever came after it. lol I think this image and sentiment sum up just how I feel!
Click on the images to get a closer look!

I'd like to show you a close up of the papers I've used. I'm not sure you can see it in the pictures but these are very rich and luxurious papers. That small tan paper is actually the back of the chocolate brown paper. It's got a very rich texture to it. I think it's mulberry paper but I'm not sure. What do you think? I think chocolate deserves rich and luxurious papers. Don't you?
