Blogversary!!

I know what you are thinking. Blogversary? What is that? Does it hurt? No! It's fun and there's prizes involved! My dear imaginary friend, Julie Odil, invited me to a Blogversary Blog Hop she's having to celebrate her THIRD anniversary with her blog, thus, blogversary!
If you're coming here from Gwen's place, your right on track!
As I wrote, there are lots of prizes to be had! Check this out!
You'll be inspired by each stop of the hop. The theme, "Lucky to Call You Friend", will be evident in the projects of Julie and her friends, including me! Many of the talented ladies have blog candy to give away on their blogs, so watch for that, and follow the individual rules on their blogs for how to win it.
Here's my little "Lucky to Call You Friend" project:

I am Not Irish

But kiss me anyway! This image had this sentiment written all over it! Who could resist a gal with a beer, gold coins and green and gold knee highs!?! lol I'm thinking maybe a Green Bay Packer fan would be all over this!! Ha!
Before this is lost in the translation, let me invite you to join my Design Team and me at Inspiration Destination! We're into week 25 of anything goes and you gotta love anything goes! Our wonderful sponsors this week are Bugaboo Stamps and Gerda Steiner Designs. I'm here to share my project using a fun image from Bugaboo.
Click on the images for a closer look!

The brown Liquid Applique came out kinda dull and I really felt she needed a rich, red hair! lol I dabbed it with R14 only to realize that was not a good shade of red so I substituted E79. I realized afterwards that maybe the R14 was running dry or maybe I should have used a deeper red. Either way, this looks so much better than how it originally looked. I thought it almost looked blonde and I wasn't having that! ;) lol You know... cause she really IS Irish! Ha!
Card Recipe:
Image colored with Copic markers, Liquid Applique in white and brown, gold gel pen and Glossy Accents
Sentiment is from Create with TLC
All other supplies are from my stash
I'd like to join in on the fun with these challenges:
Hope you can pop on over to IDCB and checkout what the team have to share with you this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Bright, Bold Colors

Come join us this week at My Time to Craft Challenge 283 - For a Special Lady. I thought this was perfect for a sentiment I swear I saw at Create with TLC. I remembered it reading something like 'National Women's Day' or something like that. Well, if I saved it... it was at that bottomless pit I like to call my 'safe place'. So I had to go with a different sentiment but I think this sentiment gets the message across so much better! The image reminds me of a niece and I colored the image with her coloring. She's also a gal not afraid of color! lol
I purchased this image when Delicious Doodles announced they were closing their doors. I think it had something to do with VAT but not sure. At the time, there was a blurb about where else to get the images but I didn't write it down because.... I lie to myself all the time! "Don't write that down! You'll remember it later!" Hmph!
Then I asked myself, why hadn't I at least written the artist's name down? I'd at least be able to Google it. Google is helpful like that, you know. But I saw a card completed with an image I also purchased from there and followed the image. It lead me to Sweet Peas and after a little digging... I found the artist's name but I didn't find this image there. So then I was able to Google. And now I can tell you that Teresa (Teri) Sherman is at Instant Card Making Downloads. But I didn't see this wicked awesome image there, either.
Click on the images for a closer look!

Don't you agree this is a most fitting sentiment? lol
Card Recipe:
Image: Sunshine Gal by Teresa (Teri) Sherman
Image colored with Copic markers, Glossy Accents and Liquid Pearls in Opal and Yellow
Sentiment from Create with TLC
Pattern paper and all card stock are from my stash

So, I'd like to take this opportunity and invite you over to MTTC and join in on the challenge. At the very least, swing on by and visit the blog so you can see the awesome projects my teammates have created!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by my place today! :)

Cloudy Skies

This is my second project for Inspiration Destination this week. As always, the theme is anything goes! We've two sponsors this week. I've already written one post dedicated to one sponsor and I'm here to tell you about our second sponsor, Inky Impressions. Did you know they also have digital? I didn't! I found out only a couple of weeks ago and I was THRILLED to say the least! *U* Made me one happy camper!
Click on the images for a closer look!
Card Recipe:
Image is colored with Copic markers, Glossy Accents and silver gel pen
Sentiment is from Create with TLC
Pattern paper is from Stampin' Up. It's actually red with a creamy white. I used a Copic yellow marker to color the white to match the image. Ha! Clever, I am! lol Yoda, am not! Ha!
I created the gray clouds behind Lili with Pebbles Chalks and a cloud template I found online from Bev Rochester of All the Things I Love. I'll be honest. I didn't watch the video. I kinda just winged it but I did use her template. :)
Pearl beads are from Michael's wicked awesome $1 bins!
Plain card stock, buttons and embroidery floss are from my stash
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
I hope you can find time to pop on over to IDCB and check out my teammates' makes and maybe even play along with us!
Thanks for stopping by!

BBQ King

Maybe it's too early to start thinking about BBQing... unless you live in Texas! lol We saw someone grilling during our last snowstorm... which was just a couple of weeks ago! So I guess anytime is good for grilling.
Before I go off on that, let me invite you to join us at this week's anything goes challenge at Inspiration Destination! We've two awesome sponsors. Let me tell you about one of them here and I'll tell you about the other sponsor on the next post. I don't like doing the two cards on one post. I've tried it for a couple of weeks and it's just NOT working for me.
So here's my first project using a Dr. Digi image that had me going on and on about BBQing. Reminds me of a nephew who loves to BBQ and tends to burn meat! Ha!
Click on images for a closer look!

Isn't this just a fun, fun image!
Card Recipe:
Image: BBQ Bill from Dr. Digi
Image colored with Copic markers, silver gel pen and Glossy Accents.
I also decoupaged the eyes, top part of grill and wheels in front and skewered meat.
Sentiment is from StampArt by Kathryne
Grass printed paper is from Michael's Recollections
Embossing folder is clouds from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio
Corner punch is from EK Success
Plain card stock, twine and buttons are from my stash
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
Cardz 4 Guys Challenge Blog: Challenge #61 - Hobbies / Pastimes
Digi Sketch Challenge: Humor Me!
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge: Challenge 15 - Add Some Embellishments
Stamping Sensations: March Challenge - One for the Guys
Challenge Up Your Life: Challenge 10 - Masculine
So I hope you will take time to join us for our challenge at IDCB! Dr. Digi is a sponsor as I've written but we've also got Inky Impressions! Woot! Woot! lol
Thanks for stopping by my place today!

One Sick Chick

That's what I am... of working! Ha! I often asked my mother, "Why was I born beautiful instead of rich?" Ha! I cannot remember her replies now. How sad! She's only been gone since October of last year. Well, it's the heavy meds I took for the leukemia. It completely fried my brain before I was ready to lose it so either way you look at it... I'm one sick chick! lol I started to make this into a get well card but the day I was looking for the sentiment, I was thinking to myself "I'm so sick of working!" So here I am now.
Before I go any further, I want to invite you to join us at Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog. This week we have TWO sponsors! The Stamping Boutique offer two digis to a lucky winner, three if winner uses a TSB image and My Whimsical Little World offering two digis.

Swing with Me!

Come on now! You know you want to! lol
This week, at Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog, we have My Whimsical Little World as one of the sponsors. Paola released some cute little gnomes doing all sorts of things and this one is... well... swinging! lol I used two of the images and flipped one of them. I was trying to make it look like one is further back in the distance and one was closer. Do you think I accomplished this?
Let me explain something to you. I'm, once again, rearranging my home. Ninety percent of my crafting supplies are still in the old location and very few things are in the new location. I had a time finding anything to complete this project as I wanted. I had bigger plans for it but I like how it came out with my limited resources.
