Hey all! I'm super excited to show you this week's project for our anything goes challenge at Inspiration Destination! Our fabulous sponsor is The Cutting Cafe and I've used 3D House Set - Template and Cutting File.
Click on the images for a closer look!
This started out as a treat box but I don't own a cutting machine so ALL these pieces were cut by hand.
After spending four days on it... I now cannot make myself give it away... it took an entire day to cut all the detail in all them windows! Ha! I originally planned to add more windows and maybe even a sky light but I came to my senses in the nick of time! lol This file also comes with a chimney and I ran out of steam before cutting it out. I don't know now whether that's a good or bad thing! Ha!
I went a little nuts with the moss...
I really wanted to add more sunflowers but I was afraid it would end up looking too busy...the sunflower is stamped from a set called Goes with Sommerset Gardener Gal at Raisin Boat.
The flower box was something I made myself. The fence is a die cut from La-La Land Crafts. I can't find a direct link to the April Kit in the store.
The 'Welcome' sign is hand written inside a wicked old stamped frame, I couldn't tell you the maker if my life depended on it. Something with Gypies in it, like maybe Gypsies7 or 7Gypsies? lol
I added more moss and some baby's breath into the flower box.
All the windows are metallic light blue card stock.
The door knobs are brads from my stash.
I created the pathway with some printed card stock and lined the path with Robin's Nest Halloween Dew Drops only because I wanted the 'stones' to look grayish and this was the closest I could get.
This is the first time, since like forever, that I've enlarged the photos to this size. It was such a labor of love that I really want you to see all the details from all angles. I made myself stop from adding more moss on the green base. lol So now it sits on my entry way table sl all visitors to my home can see my farm house! You'd think my home was Grand Central Station after reading that! lol I get maybe one visitor a week and usually, it's the same person. haha! I jest!
