Hiya, bloggers!
I want to share a little project with you that I've been working on for years! Ha! Not really! I mean I had the idea years ago... as a matter of fact... not too long after I started watching Rachel Ray. I. Love. Her. Idea. Of a garbage bowl! Ever since then, I have had one garbage bowl after another in all areas of my home where I do little projects. For example, at my craft table! What crafter doesn't do that, right? Also, at my vanity table, on my nightstand, on the kitchen island, at the dining room table, at the bathroom sink, near the front door, by the back door and in the utility room. I should probably put one in the family room as well but I'm a single gal and I rarely use that room so I haven't really had the need for one in there but I hope to change that soon.
I've been an empty nester now since about end of March. It's not the first time either. Every time I get used to it, someone has come back home! But no more! I got rid of all the extra beds! lol I am hoping that will keep everyone at bay! What do you think? :p
Anyway, all of my garbage bowls are actually empty Lysol disinfecting wipe containers without the lid. You know what I mean? They are tall and white and bland. Blah! :)
Sssoooo, I originally started decorating this container for my vanity table but halfway through it, I decided to use it on my crafting table.
I started by using The Cutting Cafe Color My World Printable Stamp Set as the background paper. I colored with my Copic markers in my favorite colors! Easy peasy! lol I then added the bling ribbon I got at Michael's around the top and bottom for some dazzle. Then, because I'll be looking at it pretty often, I added a pre-printed journal card from my stash with a message that will lift my spirits and remind myself how smart and creative I am! Every! Single! Day! :D Then I outlined all the swirls and journal mat with Stickles Glitter Glue in Yellow, Xmas Red, Black Diamonds, Melon and Baby Pink and added some homemade flowers to make it girly... like me! ;) I love that I will look at this every time I sit down at my craft table! Which is pretty often, I tell you! ;) lol The pictures don't really show how shimmery it is which I just love! I almost hate putting trash in it! lol

Awesome blossom, huh? And I bet you were thinking all this time that was an onion bloom at Chili's! Ha! :D
