Hey, all! Here's my DT project for this week's Challenge #330 - Anything But a Card at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. This is an old mason jar I found in my stash of stuff! lol It was already painted and roughed up. Heaven knows when I had the thought to give it a try before and I sure wish I'd thought to take picture of it before I added all the doodads! Such is life! I'm always a dollar short and a day late with my ideas! Ha!
I purchased some pins for some beads I had and put all of them in a super safe place cause I was not ever able to find them to get my pins started for this project but you surely get the idea. I added some stuffing under an old hankie to create the 'pin cushion' portion of the jar. The flower ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The lace ribbon is from Michael's as are the rhinestones and pearl beads that line the lid. The large button on the lid is actually a brad that came with the same set as the label I wrapped around the jar. I have had the set forever and a day and for the life of me, I cannot find the package it came in so I cannot tell you who the product is from! I hate that! Ugh! You know I'll find it another day when I'm looking for something else! Ugh! To. Be. Organized! Would be such a dream come true! lol The hankie and beads I put in a safe place are actually part of my inheritance from my mother. I thought they would go nicely with the 'Memories of You' label. :) I also put all the buttons I inherited from her inside the jar. I inherited the jar of buttons back in the early to mid 1980s. Can you believe that!?! It was actually a large plastic bag and not a jar but I've used many over the years and now, all that are left, fit nicely into this jar. :)
