Best Friends

Hey, all! Thanks for stopping by my place today.
This is my DT project for Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog. This week marks our 140th anything goes challenge! I'm simply amazed at the speed the years have passed. Seems like only yesterday, I was entertaining the thought of starting my own challenge blog so I could use any stamp I wanted to use! lol And here you find me doing just that! :)
Click on the images for a closer look!
A peek at the inside:
This is a rubber stamp from Roberto's Rascals called Best Friends at CC Designs Rubber Stamps and Dies. I originally saw these Rockabilly Gals rubber stamp set I thought I could not live without but as I started looking at some of his other designs, I decided there were way too many of his stamp sets I could not live without so I made a big ol' long list and this was one of the stamps at the top of the list! lol I colored the image with Copic markers, a silver gel pen and Glossy Accents. I tore green cardstock to mimic a grassy path and tan colored card stock for the path but, for whatever reason, it keeps coming out green! I cannot tell you how many pics I took before finally settling on these. The flower border die cuts are from La-La Land Crafts. I layered these and then sparkled them up with some Stickles Glitter Glue in Crystal and dabbed the centers with Liquid Pearls in Buttercup. Clouds are cut out from a Darice embossing folder. I think I may have mentioned once or twice what a tight wad I am about purchasing dies! So as long as I can get away with cutting the clouds out after embossing these, I will! lol ;)

Hubba Hubba!

Hey, all! Man! This week snuck up on me! Where did September go? For that matter, where did the rest of 2017 go? Time just be flying! I almost missed today's post. If it hadn't been a member of my Dream Team nudging me, I'd plumb forgot all about it!
As it is, I wasn't able to get what I wanted to get done. But I colored! lol This says a lot for me. I love how she came out and I cannot wait to go back when I have time and put her to a card. Something glamorous and very girly! With lace, flowers and rhinestones or pearls! lol Let me show you what I mean.
Click on the images for a closer look!
I angled the camera here to try to capture her dazzle! lol
This is Morning Goddess Bath Time Burlesque. Doesn't she scream Va-va-voom or hubba, hubba!?! lol It's what I'm hearing!
I hope you will pop on over to Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog and check out the current challenge. We've got Rick St. Dennis sponsoring so you know that means a prize!

Just Keep Swimmin', Swimmin', Swimmin!

Hi all! This is my DT project for My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. This week is Challenge No. 354 Under the Sea. I picked up this freebie from Bloobel last month for the progressive challenge. But of late, it has taken all I have to just color an image. So last month, I managed to color it and this month, I put it down to paper! Ugh! I cannot get caught up! I was wanting to join in on this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge and all I've managed is to do Day 1! But you are not here to listen to me moan and groan. Let me tell you about my shaker card!
Click on the images for a closer look!
Here's a close up of the image before I added all the hoopla! haha!
So this is Swimming Diver from Bloobel Stamps. It goes really well with Angry Shark and Scaredy Crab. It was a discounted set back in July but I wasn't sure I could even color the one image so I didn't take advantage. I've colored the image with Copic markers, silver gel pen and Glossy Accents. I used this tutorial for the underwater scene I found at Deborah's Shining Cards blog. It was my first time to try it and I think I should practice it some more! lol Pattern card stock is retired from Storytellers Club. Seashells are from my stash. The oval shaker card base is from Queen and Company.
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:

You're Doggone Great!

Hi, all! Here is my project for the current challenge at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. We have Challenge #353 Get Krafty! lol I've chosen to color on Kraft paper and, let me tell you, it was my FIRST time ever! I probably should have watched a few videos but I thought to myself, how hard can it be? Well, obviously, pretty gosh darn hard! I wanted my dog a tad bit darker but I was scared of dark colors! lol I had a time with the shading on the bone but I think for a first time, it came out pretty good! What do you think? :p
Here's a closer look at the coloring:
I've used A Furry Surprise from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. The image and the sentiment are from the set. I colored the image with Copic markers and a white color pencil from a color pencil set I purchased at Amazon. I think I should have spent more time researching the pencils but, well, it is what it is!
I'd like to enter my CAS card into these challenges:

Big Shoes

My DT project for Challenge No. 352 Hats and Bags at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog.
I immediately thought of using this stamp I got at a yard sale here in my fair city about two summers ago, give or take. I made out like a bandit, truth be told! The gal having the sale was the daughter of a woman who was into stamping and crafting BIG time! Mom was moving in with the daughter and they just didn't have room for all of the mother's crafting supplies and I was there at just the right moment! I can't remember where the mother relocated from but I just know it wasn't from here. I think it was Ohio or Nevada... or somewhere in between! Ha! :) I promised the mom her stamps were going to be loved! lol I shouldn't have bought all that I did but I just couldn't stop myself! Anyway, here's one of my fabulous finds!
I had such fun inking and coloring. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to use real stamps! *sigh* :D
Anyway, this is Big Shoes by Mo Manning. I colored the image with Copic markers. The paper is from the collection Petticoats at Echo Park. Beaded ribbon is from Hobby Lobby fabric department. All other supplies are from my stash.

I Dig You!

Hey, all! :)
Here is my DT project for Challenge No. 350 In the Garden at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog.
This is Tool Shed Ted from Doctor Digi House of Stamps. I've colored the image with Copic markers, a silver gel pen and Glossy Accents. All pattern papers are from Echo Park I Love Family Collection. Sentiment is from a retired Raisin Boat stamp set. Buttons, embroidery floss and ribbon are from my stash. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot to edge all the papers. I followed a tutorial from Some Odd Girl to make his denim pants and vest look like worn denim.

Smile!

My DT project for Inspiration Destination Anything Goes Challenge No. 132. We're being sponsored by The Paper Nest Dolls! This is our last challenge until September 6th. We will be taking a short break so I can recover from a spider bite that has NOT given me super powers! I cannot tell you how disappointed I am about that! :p lol
This is Emma With Camera from The Paper Nest Dolls. I colored the image with Copic markers and an American Crafts Galaxy Marker in white. The pattern paper, camera die and beads are from Queen and Company Picture Perfect Shaker Card Kit. The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart retired stamp set. The Spring Accent Dot in yellow is from Fun Stampers Journey. The pink rick rack ribbon is from my stash.

Have a Merry Christmas!

My DT project for the current challenge at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. We're having Challenge 349 Christmas in July!
This is Christmas Mittens from Bloobel Stamps. I've colored the image with Copic markers, white flock, Stickles Glitter Glue in Stardust and Glossy Accents (eyes). All pattern paper is from Carta Bella Christmas Delivery paper collection. All supplies used to make the shaker tag are from Queen and Company Holiday Shaker Tag Kit.
Let me let you in on a little secret. I probably should have watched a video or two on how to put this shaker tag together. Sometimes... I'm a little big for my britches. lol I thought to myself... how hard could it be? Well, let me tell you... it's plenty hard! I had such a time and it wasn't all fun or good! lol Blah!

Coffee!!!

Hi all!
Here's my DT project for the current challenge at Inspiration Destination where it's always anything goes!
Click on the images for a closer look!
Image is Coffee from Mo's Digital Pencil. It comes with its own sentiment but I had printer issues so I used this sentiment from a stamp set at Krafin' Kimmie Stamps called Angie. That awesome coffee bean paper I got from one of my most favorite places to shop, Paper Wishes years ago and I've been hoarding it! Ha! This card was bittersweet to make because I used up the last of the awesome paper! All other supplies are from my long-hoarded stash.
I'd like to share my card with these challenges:

First Father's Day

Here's a little something I whipped up for my future son-in-law for his first Father's Day. I have to admit... I am completely lost when it comes to stuff like this. You see... I was raised by a single mother and I was a single mother. More than anything in the world... I hope my daughter broke that cycle. Also, none of my brothers or sister's husbands were involved fathers. This is a new generation and I see that today's young families have the father changing diapers and feeding the baby. I am so grateful to see James take on a hands on attitude. I'm left feeling speechless when I see him doing this and I am so grateful for him loving my daughter. To hear my daughter speak of him... he's a good father and will be a good husband. I pray for the both of them every day.
This is A Chip off the old Block from The Paper Shelter. Papers are from Echo Park Rock-a-Bye Baby Boy. I've colored the image with Copic markers and Colore coloring pencils. Ribbon, star chipboard and rub-on sentiments are from my stash.
Now to write something meaningful that will express my deep gratitude and admiration for James. Easy, peasy, right? lol I purchased this stamp on Monday. Then on Wednesday, my daughter sent me this picture. I think this card was meant to happen! I mimicked the pillow case pattern! lol

Total Beach Babe

Hi, all! :D
This is my DT project for Challenge 348 Summer Time at My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. I think we're having the perfect weather to be running around like this! lol It's been hot and when it's not been hot, it's been hotter! Yuck! But I guess this heat is better then being knee deep in snow! lol

The image and both sentiments are from Beach Babe Zahra at Faery Ink. I've colored the image with Copic markers and accented the shades and her eyes with Glossy Accents. I used a daisy punch from Michael's Recollections line. The oval die cut is from Darice and I lined it with Stickles Glitter Glue in Crystal. Pattern paper is from Echo Park Summer Party

Thinking Hard

Hello, everybody! Long time since I've been able to pop onto my blog but here I am! In case I've not shared this with you all, I'm a new gammy! lol I'm overwhelmed with it all! *sigh* :)
This is the newsletter freebie from The East Wind for the month of June. Isn't it awesome? I had to print it out immediately and color it! I just love the look on her face. I was trying to find a funny question to use a sentiment but time got away from me. I was thinking of using something like "Why do they have to eat dinner every night?" or something like that. I saw the question on FB once and how it made me laugh! lol So, I really think I need a funny question like that here. What do you think?
This is Thinking Head from The East Wind and I've colored the image with Copic markers. This is such a powerful image, I kept it CAS. Her face says so much!

Down on the Farm

Hey all! This is my DT project for Challenge 347 at My Time to Craft. The theme for this challenge is Down on the Farm! I. Love. That! Here's yet another chicken card! lol :p If you've visited my blog before today, you should know I am a HUGE chicken fan! lol
I've had this stamp sitting in a basket collecting dust for I don't know how long, but at least since I'd say, maybe 2013!?! For shame, for shame! :p lol It was one of the last rubber stamps I purchased before I discovered digital stamps! :p
This is Birdie & Eggnus from Art Impressions. Don't you just LOVE their stamps? Who doesn't, right? lol If I'd known I'd be such an addict... I'd have bought stock in the company years ago! lol :D
I've colored the image with Copic markers and colored pencils. Before I could stop myself, I painted that white chicken like a hoochie mama with blue eye shadow and if I thought I could have gotten away with it I'd have added red lipstick!! lol :p Who am I kidding!?! The brown chicken is wearing purple eye shadow! Ha!
Printed card stock is from The Paper Studio paper pad at Hobby Lobby called Farm Fresh. The straw pattern paper was a gift from a friend. I only received the one 12X12 page and I've been hoarding it! lol Buttons and twine are from my stash. The banner die is from La-La Land Crafts April 2016 monthly kit
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
