Here's a quick share of something I made for my daughter to celebrate her first Mother's Day. I actually originally colored this image during the last The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge; however, I did not ever get to post it because I became a grandmother about 2/3 of the way through the challenge and before that, I was busy getting ready to be a granny! :D lol So I think I made it through till day 13 or something like that. Or I posted through till that day. I had colored a few more and this image but I knew I wanted to make something for my daughter with this image and I was afraid she'd see it sitting on my crafting table... ssooo... I put like about four or five colored images in a safe place. :\ I've looked for these every which way through till Sunday next week and can't find that safe place. So I had to recolor this one. The hair came out so much better the first time! :\ But anyway. I also meant to add grandson's stamped images of feet and/or hands but the last time he was here and I attempted to do that, he wasn't having it. He was CRANKY with capital letters! lol
So this is a canvas. I was going for a mixed media kinda thing but after coloring it and gluing it to the canvas, I remembered... I don't know how to do mixed media. But the damage had been done so I just went with it and this is what I ended up with:
I had mishaps galore with the glue. I really did shed a tear or two this time... didn't just want to cry... actually did... :'( Paper warped on me on account of the glue mishap. But, as I said, the damage had been done and I had to go with it. :\
Here's a close up of the image before it warped:
So this super cute image is Pickles and Ice Cream from Jade Dragonne at DeviantArt. I've colored the image with Copic markers and an American Crafts Galaxy Marker in white. Pattern paper and chipboard are from my stash.

Before I go, here's a quick peek at my growing grandson! He's completely outgrown all his newborn clothes! He's blowing kisses at his gammy in this picture! lol :D He dropped his pacifier just as my daughter snapped the photo. Oh, and he completely shed his hair! lol He's babbling and smiling at us! I'd forgotten how wonderful babies can be!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Mother's Day! :D
