Where Have I Been?

If only I could tell you!!!
LoL
Well, I wish I could tell you that I've just been so busy practicing coloring and doing crafty things without posting them, but alas... that is not the case.
Remember? I became a grandma! LoL Although, yes, I've had every other weekend consumed with my grandson, that alone is not the reason I've not been here.
I hate to say it... I've been lazy... discouraged... and busy...
I've been working on my dilapidated house... of sorts... windows still need to be replaced... as well as the siding... but I've been working on the inside mostly... because it's what I see each and every day of my life! I've been working from home since September and it was depressing to see my house in shambles while knowing there was not much I could do about replacing the windows or siding for a couple of years. I finished paying for the house in, I think it was February 2018, and it has been falling apart since then. I've made repairs that could not wait such as plumbing and wood rot here and there but the siding and windows will cost a small fortune so I have to save up for that. It would be so much easier saving money if I'd stop shopping for new stamps that I don't even use! :/
In any event, I participated in the last 30 day marker challenge. And guess what? I actually finished it! I'd tried a few times before but the furthest I got was day 13. LoL This time, I made it to day 30! :)
Then, my employer asked me to make a couple of birthday cards for some co-workers. So I thought, well, I can kill two birds with one stone! LoL
So here I am.
This first card was fun! Oh, how I loved working on it. It had to be pieced together and involved real stamps and dies! I got to use some inks and I wanted to use some googly eyes but I told myself that was just over doing the whole thing. lol Truth be told. I kinda want to keep it! First of all, it's for a male co-worker. And it'll have a birthday check in it and company workers KNOW that. So I imagine he'll rip it open just to get the check and toss the card. And I say that from experience. Not that I've ever seen him do that but my OWN mother use to do that! Even when she knew I made the cards that my sisters and I gifted her! So anyway... I just don't think this card will be appreciated for the true beauty that it is! LoL

See what I mean? LoL
So I used a My Favorite Things stamp set called The Whole Herd, (This stamp set does come with a coordinating die set but I LOVE fussy cutting when the images do not have too much detail and I thought I'd be able to do that with this set and I. Was. Right!) a die set from Whimsy Stamps called Build-A-Farm, a stitched grass die from Your Next Stamp, a long grass die from Lawn Fawn (might be wrong about that one) and three grass dies from Top Dog (closed). I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, Stormy Sky, Crushed Olive and Fired Brick to ink the edges of all the die cuts (except white items and stamped critters) and card stock. Green cardstock pieces for the trees are Bazzill. Blue and green textured card stock is from my stash. Of course, I colored all the little critters with Copic markers and I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere everything to paper. LoL His birthday was July 1st so I needed to use a belated birthday greeting and this sentiment seemed to fit the bill. So that's why he's getting this card.
This card is for a female co-worker.
I didn't plan to post it. That's why it's already in an envelope. But, at the last minute, I decided to share it with you! Lucky you! LoL This stamp set is from Art Impressions called Office Party Set. Pattern paper is from Echo Park called Birthday Boy 2017 (discontinued). Enamel dots are from a couple of sets at Your Next Stamp. Foam cake is from my stash and the image is colored in Copic markers with highlights in Stickles Glitter Glue in Crystal.
Hope you enjoyed the show! LoL
While I'm here, thought I'd share with these fun challenges. I hope I got all these right! I haven't done this in like forever!
